Diagnostic laparoscopy (keyhole surgery) is surgical diagnostic procedure when camera and instruments introduces in abdomen through small abdominal incisions to view the organs inside the abdomen and pelvis. Surgeon can take biopsy or perform fallopian tube patency test. The procedure performs in general anesthesia, takes about 30 minutes and patient discharges from the hospital some hours after the surgery.

Diagnostic hysteroscopy is surgical intervention when camera and instruments are placed through uterine cervix to look inside the uterus. Biopsy and dilatation and curettage may be done during the procedure. The procedure performs as day surgery in local or general anesthesia and takes about 15 minutes.
